Alexa Westerbeck, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Westerbeck grew up in Los Gatos, CA and attended the University of Oregon where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biology with minors in chemistry and business administration. She returned to the Bay Area to attend the UC Berkeley School of Optometry where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Her clinical training included rotation through community clinics serving the underprivileged population, the Sierra Nevada VA in Reno, Nevada and Case Grande VA in Arizona. After receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2018, she remained at UC Berkeley for an additional year to complete residency training in which she specialized in urgent eye care management, anterior segment disease and specialty contact lenses, including scleral contact lenses. Dr. Westerbeck also has extensive experience in the management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy, as well as dry eye and low vision rehabilitation. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and backgrounds and is passionate about providing excellent eye care and imparting knowledge on the importance of preventative eye care.
In her spare time, Dr. Westerbeck enjoys spending time with friends, hiking, traveling and exploring new restaurants.
